Internet Failure Process

In the event that the internet is down, we must follow the below procedure to ensure that there are limited disruptions to our operations.

  1.  Identify the issue and ensure that the router is connected properly
  2.  Restart the router if necessary - the router must be restarted by removing the power source from the mains, wait a few second and then reconnect
  3. If the problem persists, a member of staff must speak to the internet provider (Virgin Media). All contact details and account numbers can be found on the invoices located on the HOFA's Desk (Ben Hull)
  4. Inform the PAK team management (Junaid) that the internet is down and brief them on any important phone calls that you are expecting.
  5. Whilst the internet is down, if your desktop does not support wireless connection please insert the wireless adaptors that are available in the office
    • If you cannot connect to Wifi using your own personal hotspot, please ask another member of staff to share their connection with you. If the problem persists please alert an available manager who will advise you on what to do next
  6. Use your mobile phone as a personal hotspot and connect to the internet. We advise you work on a singular tab basis on your web browser as the internet connection may be slow.
